Lindsay & Dynan were engaged from the concept development stage for the structural and civil design and detail of a major upgrade to the Coal Handling Preparation Plant (CHPP) at Wambo Coal Mine, Hunter Valley NSW.

The upgrade to Wambo included a new Run of Mine (ROM) dump station, a 400t ROM hopper, a primary crushing structure, a ROM conveyor system, a coal preparation plant, and a clean coal conveyor system including two transfer stations.

Lindsay & Dynan played a key role in the upgrade, providing designs for the ROM bin, sizing station, various gantries, trestles and conveyors including the product stockpile conveyor, thickener footing, and MCC and control building. Our involvement in the project carried through to site supervision during construction.

Lindsay & Dynan liaised closely with the client throughout the process to ensure that the design achieved the objectives of the client wherever possible, whilst ensuring minimal costly disruption to the ongoing operation of the existing coal preparation plant.
